Just when you think you’ve got this character pinned down, he dissolves in a pillar of fire and reemerges the following week with a new facet of his personality.

Certainly the most ambitious and anticipated Xena episode, “The Bitter Suite,” was broadcast the week of February 2, 1998, earning impressive ratings and wide-spread critical acclaim.
