Official Xena Magazine: Issue 17

XENA MAGAZINE: Is it true that To Helicon and Back will be season six’s musical episode. And, if so, can you tell us much about it?

DAVE POLLISON: To Helicon and Back is our Saving Private Ryan, storming of the beach episode. A musical is being planned, but it’s not definite yet.

Can you give away as to what’s coming up in the rest of this season?

We’ll be answering a lot of questions that have been lurking for thousands of years.

Are the final episodes in the can yet? And if so, can you tell us what it will be called and anything at all about it?

There has been quite a bit of talk of having Xena go to Japan in the finale, but that's not definite yet. We haven't fixed on a title for the finale yet.

Can you tell us what episode of Xena's sixth season the writers/producers are currently working on?

They're currently rewriting the final two shows. 19 episodes are in the can, and we're currently prepping episode 20.

Is filming still on schedule to finish 21 March?

Shooting is now scheduled to end on 22 March. We need an extra day because the last few episodes are going to be big!!!!!

Can you tell us what the official word on Cleopatra 2525 is? When will the show be back on television?

The show is still on indefinite hiatus. We have six one hour episodes that started airing in mid-January, and a decision will be made whether or not to go back to the soundstages based on the ratings for those six episodes.

With Xena nearly finished filming and Cleopatra 2525’s future still in discussion, has there been any progress on the development of South Camelot, Renaissance’s next major project?

South Camelot is currently being shopped around to various networks so we hope to be able to bring you more news on that soon.
