Renaissance Man

A new Renaissance Man takes the hot seat this month, as Pacific Renaissance’s Dave Pollison joins us to answer your questions about all things Xena

Official Xena Magazine: Issue 12

XENA MAGAZINE: Dave, have you had the chance to see many of the scripts yet for season six? What’s your general impression of the shows so far?

DAVE POLLISON: I haven’t read many of the new season’s scripts but I really like The Haunting of Amphipolis. But then, I’m biased towards horror material!

What are your thoughts on Kevin Sorbo’s new show, Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda? Are Renaissance excited for Kevin or do you think nothing will take the place of Hercules in his career?

We haven’t seen anything yet of Kevin's new show. Hercules was a unique experience for all of us involved, but we are very excited for him and wish him all the best with Andromeda.

There have been a number of rumours going around that Jack of All Trades may be cancelled. Bruce Campbell himself has commented that the show isn’t doing as well in the ratings as he and the studio had hoped and that a decision as to its future is likely to be announced any day now. Can you tell us if this decision has been made yet and, if not, when it will be announced?

I can’t answer on Jack because there is no firm decision yet, but I’ll be happy to let you all know when it is confirmed, one way or the other.

Do you know when Ted Raimi will be making a guest appearance on Xena - a lot of fans would like to see him return as Jace from Lyre, Lyre, Hearts on Fire. Is that likely to happen?

As you know from so many previous episodes, no character is ever truly DEAD!
