Muck Raking: Hudson Leick

In our final muckraking column, Ruth Thomas gets up close and personal with fan favourite Hudson Leick, the woman behind the deliciously nasty Callisto.

Official Xena Magazine: Issue 24

Full name given at birth: Heidi Hudson Leick.

Nicknames: Bulldog.

Hometown: New York.

Current Residence: Los Angeles, California.

Favourite word? Mine! Only kidding with you! I don't have one.

Croutons or Bacon Bits? Neither.

Favourite Salad Dressing: Balsamic vinegar and blackseed oil.

Shampoo or Conditioner? [raises eyebrow] There's a choice? Both!

Have you ever gone skinnydipping? Yeah!

Do you make fun of people? How do you mean? It's a strange question!

I'm asking a woman who made three men wear a dress on stage at the convention. I can't make anyone put a dress on! [Shouts of “Oh yes you can!” are heard in the background] I don't really know how to answer that. It seems in itself a malicious question, I don't know why. I like to have fun with people, have fun with them. How's that?

Favourite colour: Purple.

Have you ever been convicted of a crime? No.

One pillow or two? Many, one, none...

Cotton or feather? Both.

Do you own any pets? I have a Chihuahua named Griffin.

What's your favourite music? Whatever suits me in that moment.

What are your hobbies? Yoga; travelling. I'm open to new experiences.

So your hobby could be life? I love that, yeah.

Which toothpaste do you use? Cinnamon.

Favourite food: Anything healthy... and Indian, all of the different kinds.

Favourite town to take it easy in: I don't really have one.

Favourite ice cream flavour: Ben & Jerry's Mint.

Favourite non-alcoholic drink: Any freshly squeezed juice.

Adidas, Nike, Reebok or other? I don't care.

Favourite perfume: I use some French fancy expensive brand that I can't remember the name of - it's vanilla/apricot. And I use Oil of Sardinia.

Favourite subject in school: Art.

Favourite sport to watch: Would you call gymnastics a sport? I love to watch gymnastics and ice-skating. Both are very beautiful.

What is your most humiliating moment? There are too many to recount!

What is your craziest or silliest idea? Thinking that I'm in control.

What's your most prized possession? Myself.

What's your favourite past-time? What do you mean by that?

If you had time to kill and you could do anything you wanted, what would you do? Do I have to answer everything so honestly? I want to give you a funny quip! There are so many things. I would help other people more and I would meditate more, and I would do things that would connect me to God more.

Who is your hero? Mahatma Ghandi.

What skill would you most like to have? To be able to make people feel safe.

What do you least like about yourself? The fact that I don't make people feel safe [laughs].

What would you say is your greatest strength? I have two. My will, which can be positive or negative depending on how it's focused, and my ability to feel love.
